NOTTS INDIE FASHION WEEK IS HERE! Celebrating our local designers, independent brands and creative talents. The series of events supported by The Creative Quarter, will run everyday this week (March 10th to 15th) and will see a number of catwalk shows, dance parties and markets in venues across Nottingham. This is not one to miss!

So of course Platypus will crawling out from the burrow to join in the shenanigans, so clear the diary, come on down and give us a shout.

What/Where:

FILLED IN Block Party @ Rough Trade - 5 Broad Street, Nottingham

When: Thursday 12th March 6pm – 11 pm

Entry: FREE

Dress Code: ALL WHITE – Head to toe please.
(Wear swimming costume or some kind of clothing underneath as you will need to get your kit off to print on it!)

This will be a unique interactive fashion event.

In-house screen printing setup with six designs by local legends to choose from. Have a go yourself, or make them your print gimp. Sewing machinists will be on site to aid you in adding applique to your clobber. Finally head to the colouring in corner where you can finish your gear off with fabric pens.

Graffiti artists will be on site to add that real block party vibe.

This banger of an event will be hosted by the highly skilled and amusing beatboxer/mc Alex Motormouf Young

Dan Rattomatic - one of the finest scratch DJ’s in Nottz –  with more music acts TBC.

‘'INDIE FEST’ - Independent Fashion Market @ Sneinton Market. 

When: Thursday 15th March 11am – 6pm

Indie Fest encompasses all that is amazing about Nottingham’s Independent creative scene. 30 stalls of fashion and fashion accessories (many of whom you saw in the shows) will be in attendance with their goods on sale.

Nottz finest Graffas will be spraying up some serious shutters so come check them out!

The music stage will be centre stage featuring some of Nottingham’s finest music acts from electronic to live bands. ‘Ruberdub’ and ‘Can’t Stop Won’t Stop’ artists are so far confirmed. More TBC. A more mother’s day friendly set is planned…so you can bring your mum down for a skank!

As it should be we are embracing the skaters and riders who use the area daily. There will be a riding area and best trick comp on the day. A Film tent will offer a chill out area where you will be able to watch short films made by Nottingham riders. (Supported by Nonstop and Forty Two Shop)
